For Thoughts, the public feed on vaultapp.space.
Most of Vault is private: messages are end-to-end encrypted and the server cannot read them. Thoughts is the exception. A Thought is public — readable by anyone with an account — and it is stored on the server in a form the operator can read and delete.
Every Thought, reply and image is deleted automatically 24 hours after it is posted. There is no archive and no way to recover one.
The feed is intended for open expression, and unpopular, offensive or wrong opinions are not moderated. What is removed is content that is illegal:
Accounts that post this material can be blocked from posting, and repeat accounts are removed.
Being rude, wrong, disliked or argumentative is not a removable offence, and reports on those grounds are closed without action. This is stated plainly because a report queue that promises more than it delivers is worse than no report button — users act on the belief that something will happen.
If you do not want to see someone, the app gives you tools that do not depend on anyone else's judgement: mute hides a user's posts from your feed and tells them nothing, block hides you from each other everywhere including direct messages, and keyword filters hide posts containing words you choose. Filters never leave your device.
In the app, use Report on the post itself. That is the fastest route — it attaches the post and its author automatically, and it reaches the queue directly.

Please include the post URL or post ID, the username, and what makes the content unlawful. Reports are read by a person, not a system.
Act quickly, and preserve your own evidence. Posts are deleted automatically after 24 hours, so by the time a notice arrives the content has very often already ceased to exist — and cannot be produced later, by anyone, including us. Screenshot what you are reporting before you send it.
Public posts, their images, and the account that made them: visible, and removable. Direct messages, group messages and calls: end-to-end encrypted, and not readable by the operator or producible in response to any request. Signup requires no email and no phone number, so there is no identity behind an account to disclose.
This is a limit of the system's design, not a policy that can be waived on request.
